I remember the day my husband came in to tell me he'd "planted" Miss Kitty and she was "in bloom." It was July, 2005, and he was home between hospital stays (damn chemo). And there she was, cooling off in the dirt we were going to use to plant flowers. We never did plant flowers there - it became one of her favorite summertime places to lounge....
